The mobile app "O Livro da Floresta" and the website livrodafloresta.com are built "privacy first". We do not want your data.
We do not collect, transmit or store any personal data. There is no user account, no registration and no sign-in. The app does not access your camera, microphone, location or contacts. It only opens files that you pick or share into it yourself.
Neither the app nor the website uses analytics tools (such as Google Analytics or Firebase), advertising IDs or tracking cookies.
Everything you create in the app is stored only on your device: edited hinos, the hinários you add or create, your liked hinos and pins. None of it is synchronized with a cloud service or sent to us.
When you add an hinário from a .lvr file or a PDF, the app reads and converts the file on your device. It is not uploaded anywhere.
Deleting the app deletes all of this permanently. To keep it, make a backup (section 4).
A backup (.lvrbak) or a shared hinário (.lvr) is a file the app creates on your device. You decide where it goes, through your phone's share menu: Files, a cloud drive, email or a messenger. We never receive a copy. The service you choose handles the file under its own privacy policy.
A backup contains your whole collection (edits, your own hinários, pins). Anyone you give it to can see everything in it.
To keep its content up to date, the app downloads static files from livrodafloresta.com: the hinos, the texts of its About page and the current version number in the app stores. Like any request on the internet, this transmits your IP address to the infrastructure described in section 6. Nothing about you or your collection is sent. Older app versions (1.8.0 and earlier) fetch updates from GitHub instead, which may see your IP address in the same way.
The website livrodafloresta.com is hosted by easyname.at and uses Cloudflare for caching and security. We have disabled access logs and error logs.
The Hinário Editor and Create paper hinário run entirely in your browser. Files you open there, PDFs included, are never sent to our servers. The editor keeps the hinários you work on in your browser's storage, on your computer only. Clearing this website's data in your browser deletes them.
The app and the website link to other websites (e.g. NossaIrmandade.com, YouTube, SoundCloud). Once you follow such a link, their own privacy policies apply.
Since we do not collect any personal data, we have no data to provide or delete. For any questions about privacy, please contact us at the address below.
The app contains Portuguese liturgical hymn texts. Copyright in non-public-domain texts remains with the respective rights holders. Texts are reproduced either because they are in the public domain or used with permission from NossaIrmandade.com.
If you believe any content in the app infringes your rights, please contact us at the address above and include sufficient information to identify the material. We will review the request and, if appropriate, remove or update the content promptly.
